Worthington -Honor, Brown

Ciao a tutti!

Since I started writing Tutte Le Mie Scarpe, my shoes have taken me to some pretty amazing places; from my cruise around the Med last spring to the remote villages and enclaves of the Sicilian countryside and coast, I am grateful to have seen so many beautiful things and places.
Today, the amateur (or perhaps burgeoning is more accurate) herbalist in me is thankful for my herb garden.  I have managed to sustain the growth of my Chives (which I have pretty much left on its own), Rosemary which I was instructed by the woman at the market to bring it indoors only if I wanted it to die, and my pride and joy, Basicilo (Basil) -which I could never mange to grow in Sicily, but have achieved a degree of success here.
Inspired by what I have 'pinned' on Pinterest, I am headed off to Target to buy herb markers I've seen on sale.
What things are you thankful for today?

Baci a tutti!

Working Nine to Five! Mojo Moxy -Celebrity, Blue

Ciao a tutti!

It's been a long work week and dressing down (or as I like to think of it, another way of dressing up) is a wonderful break from the dress code dictated by the corporate office.  This afternoon, I'm sneaking out of work early for some needed retail therapy.  I need an outfit that has a little versatility: conservative enough for clients, yet fun, playful and flirty for a late lunch and shopping with the hubby.

Styling Tip #4: Try what's on trend! Color-blocking.

From the runways of Europe to the hallways of the Mid-West and every by-way in between, the color blocking trend is everywhere this spring season. bloggers, Megan Gustashaw and Susan Cernek, offer a styling tip for Cheerful Color-Blocking in their article Spring 2012's Most Wearable Fashion Trends; "Bold solid color pieces make simple dressing look glam...[but to] stick to three colors max to avoid the girly, Rainbow Brite look."
Ready for the day, shoulders up on my smock-neck blouse and shoulders down for lunch...I hope you can incorporate these styling tips into your everyday style for absolutely-fabulous look!

Do you have any styling tips for work? Please share!

Working Nine to Five! Franco Sarto -Vero, Taupe

Buongiorno, amici!

Styling Tip #3: Keep it all in the family! Color family that is.

If you're having a hard time pairing items, don't worry. Fashion, or more accurately, what is considered fashionable evolves; and what was once considered to be taboo is perfectly acceptable today. For example, plaids and stripes together get the green light provided you keep them within the same color family; even wearing varying shades of the same color are a go ahead, like what I'm doing here.

The color taupe is such a delious shade of brown (and grey). For the suit, I went with a dark taupe then swung the pendulum all the way to brown for my purse and then in the opposite direction to a light taupe for my shoes. I opted for a lighter top in the daytime and paired it with a statement necklace with a mix of amber-orange bobbles and wooden beads for a contrast in texture to the sateen of the suit.

What do you think?

Mid-Week Matinee, Working Nine to Five! Luichiny -Sweet Feet, Pink-Multi

Buongiorno a tutti!

You've been extra patient waiting two weeks for your Mid-Day-Mid-Week-Matinee, and I thank you.  Let us see what Fabio and Francesca have been up to, and as usual, I hope this gets you through the remainder of the week!

The following story is not for the faint of heart and is NOT intended for those under the age of 18! Consider yourself forewarned!

The Midday Ride of Francesca Rivera

They trotted on the mare to the edge of the orange grove –where the surrounding olive trees stood as a line of demarcation between the property and the beach.

“This is beautiful, Fabio!”  Francesca had abandoned all fear as she alone now held onto the reigns –she was a natural. They emerged from the shelter of the foliage to the white sandy beach.

“Now, I want you to take us over by the rocks.”  He pointed to the left where sandstone boulders created a natural border in the cove.  To the right, palm trees stretched to within feet of the water.

Francesca pulled back on the reigns and Snow stopped.  Fabio dismounted first and secured the bridle then helped Francesca down.  He placed his backpack on the rocks and took out a bag of carrots and apple slices;  his mare neighed.  Next, he pulled out a blanket and spread it 20 feet away from the rocks.

The sun, as it had been for the past few days, was hot, and Fabio removed his shirt…and his boots…socks…pants.... Francesca looked at her lover in disbelief then around the beach; she was sure she would find someone close enough to see what Fabio was doing.  She didn’t.  When she turned back to look at Fabio, he was naked.

“Last one in the water doesn’t get ridden!”  He taunted running into the water and disappearing under a wave as he dove in.

“Fabio!”  Accepting his words as an invitation, Francesca moved to the blanket and likewise stripped; running in Fabio’s direction she stopped at the edge of the water.  She dipped a toe in.  “It’s cold!”  She yelled.

“It gets warmer the longer you’re in!”  He shouted back.  Francesca ran in, breasts bouncing and bottom jiggling all to Fabio’s delight.  He disappeared under the water again and reappeared behind her.  He grabbed her and pulled her under a wave.

As Fabio stood, he lifted Francesca up in his arms pulling her body up against his.  He was aroused, and when he kissed her, so was she.

Fabio picked Francesca up by the cheeks of her bottom and spread her thighs, and she continued the motion wrapping her legs around his waist.  He began to walk back to the blanket.  Fabio lowered her to the cotton fabric then stepped on the edge, trying to remove some of the sand from his feet.  Then he did the most peculiar thing.  He lied down in the center of the blanket and spread his legs; with one arm folded behind his head as a makeshift pillow, the other hand he used to stroke himself.

“Fabio?”  Francesca was somewhat confused.

“You heard me, ‘Last one in the water doesn’t get ridden!’”

“I’m not sure what you mean.”  She stated.

You’re on top this afternoon!”  He instructed

Francesca knelt beside him then straddled her knees on either side of his hips.  She lowered her head to kiss him.  “I don’t know what to do next,” she whispered a little embarrassed.

Fabio guided the head of his penis to the opening of her vagina, allowing it to stimulate her outer lips, then inner lips, but not penetrate; he wanted her to do the work.

Wet, but this time not because of the water, she wanted to feel him inside her, and Francesca rested on her haunches –a motion which proved just enough to take in his head.  Fabio closed his eyes, bit his lower lip and moaned in response.  “I don’t know what to do next, Fabio.”

He exhaled then looked up at her, “Pretend you’re riding the horse.”

Riding the horse?”  She questioned and giggled at the thought.

Yes…what was the first thing I taught you?”

Francesca thought back to when she mounted the horse.  “You said to sit erect because it makes it easier to balance.”  Following her own words this time, she sat up and felt Fabio slide in. “Oh!”  She gasped and he smiled.

“And next?”  Fabio coached.

“Then pull firmly on the reigns.”  She watched Fabio bend both arms at the elbows causing each palm to form a platform.  He raised his thumbs and she grabbed hold of each.

“And now?”  He guided.

“I’m to,” She paused to remember what he had said.  “I’m to feel the horse move beneath me –when the horse bounces, I bounce.”  Fabio thrust his hips up towards Francesca and she bounced up and then came back down, slipping further down his shaft. “Oh!”  She gasped in ecstasy, right before reality stepped in.  “You pervert!  You weren’t teaching me how to ride a horse…you were teaching me how to ride you!”

“Brava, Gioia!”*  He praised, right before he thrust into her again, and she, no longer a novice at riding, followed his rhythm and rode, faster and harder, taking in more of him with each stroke.  Fabio enjoyed the sight of her breasts bouncing above him and the feeling as she alone took over the reigns and rode him –she was a natural.

Fabio resisted the urge to cum, until he could no longer contain himself.  He pulled his hands away from Francesca’s. Firmly planting his palms on her hips, he restrained her movement as his penis pulsated deep within her.  He moaned, “Ride me cowgirl!”  Fabio barely finished when Francesca dismounted and headed back in to the water.  “Where are you going?”  He yelled.

“Last one in, doesn’t get ridden tonight!”  She yelled back.

Fabio rushed in after her.

* Congratulations, Honey!

Baci a tutti!

Working Nine to Five! Kork Ease -Shannon, Tangerine

Ciao a tutti!

Here's a question for you my fellow Shoe-A-Holics:

Have you ever woken up (late for work) and wondered: What the %$#@ am I going to wear?

Styling Tip #2: Match your outfit to your favorite accessory. Today, it's my scarf.

This retro-floral-60's inspired scarf is one of my favorite scarves to wear.  Several years ago, I wandered into a store while in shopping downtown  Toronto, and I fell in love with this scarf; the combination of pattern and the way it beautifully tied in the off-white, burnt orange and brown colors, I had to have it.
I am a firm believer in it will come; it, in this case being the outfit.  I am not sure that I would pair the orange and brown together (although Orange Blossom from Strawberry Shortcake did 30 years ago!), but the scarf gives me stylistic license (my phrase) to do so.  Topped off with my cream colored purse and my orange-brown-teal colored snake-skin printed sandals (I didn't want to detract from the scarf), I am ready for a day of meetings.

Working Nine-to-Five! LAUREN by Ralph Lauren -Kiana, Black

Ciao a tutti!

Many of you have asked me about office attire; what and how to wear best advice is to follow company rules and proceed as office decorum dictates, otherwise you may find yourself sitting with HR!  With that in mind, let your personality shine through!  You can always make a statement with what you wear without saying a word.  But you need to ask yourself, 'What am I saying today?' and equally important, 'To whom am I saying it?'

Styling Tip #1:  Mix it up!  Pair your shoes with something you wouldn't ordinarily.

These shooties, I usually pair with slacks, but for such a beautiful shoe with the wing-tip detail, I find that its beauty often gets overlooked.  So after I picked out the shoe, all I had to do was to find an outfit to go with...easier said than done!

This work week started off cold! Near ninety-degree days followed by forty-degree nights, doesn't promise an exceptionally warm morning! I had finally finished my Spring Cleaning only to have to riffle through things packed away for the season in order to find something warm enough to wear...don't you just hate when that happens?  But the outfit came together rather nicely, don't you think?

Mad About Madden Week: Steve Madden -Segment, Brown

Ciao a tutti!

Look fellow Shoe-A-Holics...I'm naked!  Well, not exactly...I'm in the nude is more like it...nude-peep-toe pumps!  Now I can finally check off number one on Glamour's 10 Shoes Every Women Should Own.   According to the article by Megan Gustashaw, "Peep-toe-pumps that match your skin tone," are a must have shoe because they, "... are the ultimate leg-lengtheners and a chic showcase for a fresh-from-the-spa pedicure."  Not to mention, "...they go with almost everything under the sun."

Gustashaw opines that while it is tempting to stockpile one's shoe closet with "feathery, sparkly, sky-high heels," it isn't always, "the most practical strategy."  Collecting her top 10 must haves claims to save you, "from what-to-wear moments," and painful blisters to boot!

Here's my count of what is on her checklist:

þ     Nude Peep-Toe Pumps
þ     Black City Boots
þ     Ballet Flats
þ     Wooden Platform Sandals
þ     Canvas Sneakers
þ     Black Pumps
þ     Metallic Sandals
þ     Suede Booties
þ     Flat Leather Sandals
Gorgeous Work-of-Art Shoes That Make You Happy would appear I am missing a pair of shoes in my Arsenal...I guess it's time to go shopping!

How many on this list do you own?
